The film delves into these through four cases: Karnataka fisherwomen battling dwindling fish stocks, Apatani Women in Arunachal Pradesh managing fish-paddy farming with an uncertain future, Adivasi and Dalit women in Kashipur, Orissa fighting for rights over Hill Broom, and women in Sonebhadra battling to protect their land. UNDP-funded documentary completed in May 2005 after 1.5 years.
